In what scholars are already hailing as the greatest free concert since at least 536 BC, the ghost of grind legends Terrorizer was given a proper remanifestation Saturday night in Largo, Florida. Drummer Pete Sandoval proving that is still one of the greatest drummers in the realm of extreme metal teamed up with Monstrosity’s Lee Harrison on guitar and Sam Molina on bass & vocals to play Terrorizer’s beyond classic “World Downfall” album in its entirety. Richter scales within a 50 mile radius were probably getting readings from this one folks. It sounded as fresh and vital as it did in 1989. If there is any justice in the world, this magic will make a few more appearances rather than just be relegated to the lucky few (well over a hundred I’m sure) of us who caught this at a house party. It was a great night of catching up with old friends, watching the bands Vertigo, Those Who From The Sky Came, and Secrets She Kept, and seeing a tribute to one of the absolute greatest albums in the history of grindcore!
